Scientific activity

The Quantronique-spin group conducts experiments at 10mK, focusing on three research topics:

1) The development of microwave photon counters based on superconducting qubits with high quantum efficiency and low noise. These counters have applications in many fields, particularly dark matter detection and spin detection (Sensors/Resources).

2) The creation of quantum processors based on individual nuclear spins in solids with long coherence times (up to 30 seconds measured). These spins are detected by hyperfine coupling to a neighboring electron spin, which is itself detected by counting microwave photons. (Calculation axis)

3) Single-molecule magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging, applied to problems in chemistry, materials science, or biology. (Sensors axis)
