PhiQus aims at elucidating the potential opportunities offered by the manipulation of quantum information, develop novel computational paradigms operating on quantum information based on an understanding of the structure and specificities of computing, distributed and simulation problems. Our ambition is to (i) identify key situations in which quantum advantage can or cannot be obtained, (ii) find an optimal formalisation of algorithms operating on quantum information and (iii) simulate hard quantum-mechanical problems. Our approach uses theories, concepts and methods issued from Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Convex Optimization and Machine Learning.
