Quantum information and technologies, trapped ions (QITE)

Scientific activity

The QITE team combines theoretical and experimental efforts to create quantum technologies and manipulate them using two complementary experimental platforms: semiconductor sources of quantum-correlated photons and laser-cooled trapped ions. The team’s efforts are focused on the integration of these two families of on-chip devices and their application to quantum information and the study of its foundations. This research is therefore closely linked to technological developments in the cleanroom. With this in mind, a new theme has begun to emerge, concerning the development of a quantum interface between ions and photons.
