Scientific activity
The NumerIQ group, based at the Jacques-Louis Lions Laboratory (LJLL), explores applications of quantum computing in the field of scientific computing under the impetus of the HQI (hybrid quantum initiative) plan. Its work focuses in particular on the efficient solution of nonlinear partial differential equations (such as Gross-Pitaevskii or Navier-Stokes equations) using quantum architectures. To structure its research, the group organizes a bimonthly seminar. In 2025, it also demonstrated its commitment by organizing a summer school, CEMRACS, for doctoral and postdoctoral students. For five weeks, these students were able to collaborate on both academic and industrial projects.
