French President Emmanuel Macron visited Paris-Saclay University to present France’s quantum strategy.
This strategy is a major challenge for France, which has many assets: major laboratories of excellence, some of which have been awarded Nobel prizes, a large community of companies and industrialists, and the first fund dedicated to quantum technologies.
This move is in line with what has already been put in place over the last 3 years in favor of French research:
- The law of programming for research ;
- The future investment program ;
- The plan “France Relance” ;
- The plan on artificial intelligence.
The President of the Republic announced the the launch of the national quantum straytegy, which includes:
- The provision of new resources for researchers, including training, but also for start-ups and manufacturers;
- The development of quantum computing;
- Investments in all quantum technologies: communications, sensors, cryptography.
